Learning Grows Best Through Discovery

One-on-one tutoring for K–6 students, built on trust and curiosity — not pressure

We discovered a lot and learned a lot.

How we'll work together

Three things guide every session, whether we're at the kitchen table or out on your back porch

Relationships first
Before we open a book, I get to know your child — what excites them, what makes them feel safe enough to try.
Curiosity & play
Games, questions, and a little silliness go a long way. When learning feels fun, kids stop guarding themselves against failure
Real, hands-on projects
We build things — stories, models, small experiments — so skills stick because they were used for something that mattered.

About me

I've taught grades K through 6 in both public and private schools, which means I've seen how differently kids learn — and how much they can grow when the approach fits them, not the other way around. My master's degree from Bank Street College of Education shaped how I think about teaching: start with the child, follow their curiosity, and let understanding grow from real experience rather than rote repetition

Support across every elementary gradeReading, writing, and math foundations — tailored to where your child is right now, not where a workbook assumes they should be.
